BOE kept interest rates steady

09 June 2011

The Bank of England kept interest rates at a record low, springing no surprises as growing signs of economic weakness outweighed concern about above-target inflation. The central bank's decision means that rates will stay at 0.5 percent for a 27th consecutive month.
